GMail’s new Clothes

Those of you whom uses GMail probably noticed the GUI upgrade they performed not long ago, even though it now should be considered as «old news», I still would like to write a few words about it. One of the things that struck me was their new and – if I may add – well-done button groups. You’ve probably seen it yourself, if not – here’s a screen grab.

Now, the buttons themselves are nice, though the combination they’ve used here, as well as the technical solutions are something I would surely try to implement myself. Even with graphics turned off in your browser they will still appear to have that nice little fade with some nifty CSS tricks.
